HRM Shaker is a great blog that aims to deliver you with the best random material this thing called the interwebs has to offer. Come and check up often as we are always updating the blog with great stuff!
Ever thought of the benefits of saving 2 liters of water? Well beside the hundreds of reasons previously listed all over the internet, people looking to reduce their electricity bill now have a reason to store some water.
This Brazilian engineer found a way to light up rooms while reduce electricity bills in countries which come across the sun by simply filling up clear-colored plastic soda bottles with water. All which remains is placing the water-filled bottles in holes drilled in the roof and allow the sun to refract into the room. Of course, this doesn't replace light bulbs, but can be used in a tag-team game: bottles with the sun, bulbs with the moon.
Left brain: I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate equations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am.
Right brain: I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feat. I am movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be.
The Geneva Motor Show is getting more and more exiting by the day. Here's another car that is due to be presented during the event, the B99 Jaguar, which is a collaboration between Jaguar and Bertone an Italian house of design who has been in business for an impressive 99 years, hence the B99 title.
This concept Jaguar will be a compact four dour sedan distinghished by strong and muscular lines that remind us of the Jaguars of old. Its rear end takes inspiration from the classic design of the Jaguar Daimler, while its front end looks to its most recent siblings for design cues. It will be powered by a full hybrid long range power system tuned by Bertone Energy (something Bertone has been experimenting with for a while).
Such a collaboration is not the first of its kind between Jaguar and Bertone as they have previously worked together to give us the 1957 XK150, the 1966 Jaguar FT Concept, 1967 Jaguar Priana, and the 1977 Jaguar Ascot.
I can barely change the tire on my car, yet these guys can do it on two wheels while moving! Imagine how much time this would save formula one drivers if they could pull this off.
What started off as a little experiment in someone's garage is now a ravaging phenomenon taking the music world by storm. Dubstep (Db) is a form of electronic music that incorporates various aspects from drum and bass to breakbeats all the while keeping them in a 2 step beat. The result is Dance Music's (DM) older, darker, and much more mature brother. And given that DM has been whoring itself out to every passerby, it's time that Db comes and whips everything back into place. Also, it has led to the development of a quite breathtaking dance style that just amazes you as you watch how several individuals are inspired to move by Db.
Wait, what's that? DM didn't whore itself out. It and Ke$ha are just friends. Yeah and I'm the Queen of England.
Moving on...
Here's a few clips of some Db classics and the newly emerging and truly amazing Db dance style, all found after the break.
Between you and me the Fiat 500 is one hell of a car. Last summer I had the opportunity to drive it and let's just say that it may have been the most fun I've had on four wheels in a while. On top of that, I think it's one of the Best looking luxury compacts out there with lucrative market potential, leading others to follow suit (i.e. Aston Martin's Cygnet). Many variations of the Fiat 500 have been presented since its release, the most notable of them being the Fiat 500 C Abarth. However, just when you though it couldn't get any better, Fiat goes on to collaborate with Gucci (yes that Gucci!) to create a one of a kind ride.
The official unveiling will be on March 1st at their website www.500bygucci.it.
But for now, you can check out its pictures and related merchandise after the break.
Many job interviewers ask their hopeful candidates a very precise yet mundane question : what is your greatest weakness? A somewhat counterintuitive and sneaky inquiry since you are supposed to take that weakness and turn it into a strength. There has been no perfect answer for it, until now!
This is an interesting point of view that I have come across on truth-out.org, it somewhat places the revolutions that have been happening all the middle east in a much larger perspective.
A friend of a friend told me about her friend who's in a band. The rest as we say is history.
Mr. Fari is half latino half arab but with an all reggae sound. His style somewhat reminds me of Jack Johnson mixed in with a little bit of Jason Mraz superimposed to sun loving beats.
The price of oil for the past month has been experiencing an upward trend reaching its highest price of $106/barrel since the 2008 financial crisis where it had then dropped to almost $52/barrel. However, this rise in the price of oil has been preceded by a constant increase over the past two years which is duly attributed to the come back of the world economy from its severest recession in history and therefore revamping the demand for oil; an important input to production. Emerging countries such as China and India were the main drivers behind this healing growth as both of their economies are developing at incredible rates and thus increasing demand for primary and intermediate goods of which oil is part of the former and the latter.
You sometimes come across this raw awe inspiring talent that leaves you lost for words unable to describe what you had witnessed, an experience that occurred to me at a benefit I attended last week.
Two great souls collide in an unorthodox collaboration between music and words. On the one hand, you've got Ian who molds the English language as if it were his David , delivering words with the potency of atomic bombs, while on the other, you've got Balam breathing life into Ian's creations with heavenly melodies that would bring tears to an angel's eyes.
There are moments in our pasts that we are not proud of. Moments that we wish the sands of time would erode and bury so deep that we never have to relive them again. Fortunately, we live in the age of the internet where that sort of luxury is no longer available and embarrassing moments are immortalized forever. Thanks to the latter, we are able to see what kind of hilarious lives the generations before us lived, yet, i'm pretty sure the generations to come will feel the same towards ours. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you Kuwait in the 80s.
What do you get when you cross a bull and a 700 bhp V12 engine? The Lamborghini LP700-4 of course.
Lambo's new flagship ride is bound to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor, for which I now am beginning to regret not being able attend. Not much has been known about the car, and the spy shots, although gratuitous, only show the general form of the vehicle without giving its subtle design lines away. Nonetheless, we can see clear indicators of design cues passed over from two breathtaking previous models, the first being the Lamborghini Reventon, and namely for the shape of the LP700-4's front bumper, lights, and rear spoiler, while the second comes from the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept, unvieled last november, which heavily influenced the LP700-4's sides with the huge air intakes placed towards the mid-rear of the car.
It's the alleged transcript of an actual radio conversation between the Canadian Coast Guards and the US Navy. While the legitimacy of this conversation remains unverified, it is nonetheless hilarious. It just goes on to show you the extent of US self entitlement. Sometimes you've just got to swallow your pride and compromise.
To follow up on my last post about facebook (fb) statuses. I've come accross this very good facebook status that in some ways summarizes most fb statuses about sports and the clashing comments that ensue.
And just for the record my team rocks and your team sucks!
Apparently, right now on the interwebs, there is an ongoing joke about the man that was standing behind VP Omar Suleiman during his speech to declare the resignation of the ex-president of Egypt Hosni Mubarak.
It seems that throughout the short 30 second speech, this man succeeded in maintaining what looks like a constipated misdemeanor. What was he angry about?
Due to be unveiled in this year's Geneva motor show. the new 2012 C-Class coupe will be venturing into the highly competitive arena of luxury mid-sized coupes filled with the BMW 3-series Coupe, the Audi A5, and the Cadillac CTS Coupe.
This fellow blogger, whom I enjoy very much reading his blog, is being sued by Benihana Kuwait for saying that he didn't enjoy the food at their establishment. They claim that he is slandering their name and that his review is costing them in sales. But unbeknown to them, it is their lawsuit against an innocent blogger who just stated his mind that will cost them their business. Benihana Kuwait know this: Hell hath no fury like a band of bloggers scorned. The internet has helped topple two governments so far, so I think that a restaurant is well within its reach! You better sleep with one eye open 'cause WE are coming!
Here is a repost of his original review after the break. Pass the word!
One of the most inspiring videos I've seen in a while.
Simple yet it warms you up on the inside like hot coco on a cold winter day.
I only wish that when I have my own daughter that we would share moments like these.
Also I bet that after watching the video you're going to be curious about who these two are, as did I. And here's a link that I found that explains the story behind this video, a heartbreaking story.
Congratulations to all Egyptians on reclaiming their freedom and rights!
It was long and hard journey, but you soldiered on through. Your Youth didn't let you down, and I believe that we the people of the world shouldn't let them down.
This why I believe we should nominate the Youth of Egypt for the Nobel Peace prize. A reward that I believe would be well deserved.

Remember I posted a video way back about Turkish ice cream salesmen and their fascinating ice cream handling talent. Well here are another few craftsmen and everyday workers that are really good at what they do. So good that it is ludicrous!!
Behold the uncredited masters of our every day lives.
Check them out after the break, my favorite is the flying bread video.
While it won't make its official debut until March 1st at the Geneva Motor Show, European customers can begin ordering the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan compact SUV right now. VW made this announcement and released a small set of official photos yesterday (a leaked screencap also made the rounds earlier in the week).
Unlike its Tunisian counterpart, Egypt's revolution is looking less like a benign flower and more like a thorny branch that has pricked the fingers of its holders, and yet, they refuse to let go. I can understand why: this chance comes only once in a lifetime. Nonetheless, as benevolent is the cause that these "rebels" may have, one cannot ignore the consequences that this uprising would entail. Consequences of which I would like to explore from an economic perspective in the aim to see if the costs outweigh the benefits.
And I was wondering why Hosni Mubarak's decision seemed comical. He got them right out of a humorous play. Ah ya Ghawar, lek keef e3refet ino heik ra7 yesseer fina?
Ever since the Jasmine revolution, the Arabic scene has been in turmoil. Like dominos, governments are being toppled one after the other, and the infectious itch for rights and freedom is spreading like wildfire. Rulers of the Arab world are now looking over their shoulders and sleeping with one eye open with all of their attention resting on Egypt, the cornerstone of the region. An important ally to the United States and a major player in the Middle-East, Egypt's ongoing revolution, if successful, can have serious repercussions on the region and consequently the world.
